The four artifacts of the workshop

Workshop Components

The workshop is split into four artifacts. The committee opens the primer slides at the start, faculty work the activity on their own laptops in the middle, the committee returns with discussion slides at the close. Click any card to open it in a new tab.

🎬
Phase 1 · Opening
Primer Slides
Eight-slide projected opening. Hi-C framework, the four-form cycle, the HLC Was→Now timeline, the ICCB rotation (find your year), and The Record. Click-through pacing for the facilitator. ~10 minutes.

How the workshop opens, in order

  1. Alta opens with the primer slides. Seven slides on the projector, flowing straight into John's three-minute worked example. Faculty look up at the screen. ~10 minutes.
  2. Cue faculty to open their laptops. Direct them to the faculty URL above (or to the QR code on the printed packet cover). They land on Step 1 of the activity.
  3. Faculty work the activity. John floats for stuck faculty, surfaces strong examples aloud. Winnie keeps the sign-in moving for late arrivals. ~20 minutes.
  4. Bring the room back. Alta opens the discussion slides on the projector. One question at a time, paused for response. ~8 minutes.
  5. Close. The chain, once you've walked it, is portable. ~2 minutes.
